It is to the memory of Potenciano and Aniceta Larrazabal that the growth and success of San Lorenzo Ruiz College of Ormoc, Inc. is dedicated.
The children of Potenciano and Aniceta Larrazabal decided to pursue their late parents' dream to open a school in Ormoc City. A seven-hectare lot in Barangay San Pablo was identified, transforming a sugarcane farm into a campus.
San Lorenzo Ruiz College of Ormoc, Inc. officially opened its doors, offering the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program (Gov. Recognition No. 01, s. 2008).
Two years later, the Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science was offered (Gov. Recognition No. 12 s. 2008), expanding the college's medical offerings.
Encouraged by initial success, the Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy course was opened (Gov. Recognition No. 2, s. 2014). SLRC became the exclusive provider of MedTech and Pharmacy education in Ormoc City.
With the implementation of the K-12 program, SLRC welcomed its first batch of 112 Grade 11 students (School ID 403619), who later became the pioneering Grade 12 graduates.
San Lorenzo Ruiz College has become a trusted educational institution, not only for medical courses but also for Senior High School graduates preparing for their future careers.
